Performing arts can make an
impact. “All the world’s a stage" ... something about that makes acting a worthy profession. To this day it is one of my favorite monologues. It encompasses the entire human lifespan in one thought. It creates a complete character arc, which is just brilliant. That passage is what made me decide to become an actor.
Another brilliant Shakespeare quote: “The quality of mercy is not strained” - it is a supernova of insight! I could never have said it like that. Every time it is spoken, it hits. As an actor, I can speak that. A good monologue punches you in the gut.
